As a competitive triathlete himself having raced around the world since 2002, Joel has years of experience knowing how to develop a specific program to achieve goals. He takes pride in helping people of all abilities achieve this whether they are a high-level athlete or someone trying to return to their basic daily tasks. Joel received his Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy degree from Ithaca College in 1995. He believes in a hands-on approach to treatment and individualizing each person’s therapy to fit their abilities and desired function. Joel is a Certified Manual and Neurodynamic Treatment Specialist and a Certified Vestibular Rehabilitation Specialist. Joel is a key provider with the St. Luke’s Running Center and is 1 of only 2 certified Healthy Running Coaches in the state of Pennsylvania.

Certified in The McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy®

Michael became interested in physical therapy at a young age watching his family members recover from a variety of musculoskeletal injuries. From this, he became passionate about helping people recover from injuries and getting them back to participating in their valued activities. This led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Elizabethtown College and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He has a special interest in treating patients with lower back and neck pain as well as golfers. He is certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Michael believes in a team approach to patient care and is committed to helping his patients take an active role in their recovery. In his free time, Michael can be found enjoying the outdoors and following his favorite sports team.

Kahli graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with her Bachelor’s in Allied Health Science and later received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Elon University in North Carolina. Her treatment philosophy is based upon a fitness forward approach, promoting independence in leading a healthy lifestyle with proper patient education and corrective exercise. Outside of the clinic, Kahli enjoys spending time within the active community as a CrossFit Level 1 certified coach.

Certified Lymphedema Therapist

Wilda obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Lehigh Carbon Community College. Her interest in PT stemmed from taking her mother to PT for the first time. Utilizing her bilingual (English and Spanish) skills, she facilitated communication between her mother and the physical therapist. Wilda is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. She continues to advance her knowledge upon the Lymphedema System through continuing education. She is an active Youth Leader and enjoys kayaking, biking, and spending time her family.

Bill earned his Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant degree in 2017 from Lehigh Carbon Community College. He has a special interest in treating patients following surgery due to sports related injuries and believes in skilled manual therapy. Bill interests outside of work include traveling, playing and watching sports and spending time with family. Bill has completed 4 Spartan obstacle mud runs and several other 5k runs.

Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist

Alex enjoys working with individuals with neurologic diagnoses to optimize their functional abilities and improve their quality of life. He particularly enjoys working with people who experience dizziness/balance issues, recovering from stroke, and other neurodegenerative diseases. He graduated from DeSales University with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Alex holds an additional certification as a certified stroke rehabilitation specialist. He was a resident through the St. Luke’s Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy. Alex takes an active treatment approach to ensure clients can live enjoyably and safely. He enjoys connecting with his clients to develop goals they can work towards together.

Michelle graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelors of Arts in Health and Human Services from the University of Buffalo. She has experience working in multiple settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, head injury day program and general neuro outpatient. She specializes in the treatment of the neuro population and is NDT trained. Michelle has presented on NDT to the local chapter of the POTA and at the St. Luke’s neuro symposium on the role of OT in brain injury recovery. Michelle follows a holistic approach, incorporating various treatment methods such as Reiki, yoga and meditation to address the physical, cognitive and mental health aspects of an individual. She continues to explore alternative methods of treatment to provide the best care and interventions for all aspects of recovery. Michelle values connecting with her patients and assisting them in overcoming obstacles to improve their quality of life and allowing them to re-engage in activities that define what they love.

Paul specializes in the treatment of orthopedic conditions, pre and post OP cases as well as a niche interest in chronic pain syndromes. Paul graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Drexel University. He is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Certified Therapeutic Pain Specialist and a retired Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Paul’s clinical focus involves the analysis of movement impairments and correction via motor learning strategies and using a multimodal hands-on educational approach.  He enjoys deriving new treatment techniques in order to maximize patient outcomes in hopes to push to field of Physical Therapy further.  Paul currently is married for over 1 year and expecting his first child, he enjoys taking his dog for trail walks, hiking in nature and feeling connected to his community by attending sporting events.

Certified Lymphedema Therapist

At a young age, Tricia discovered how a traumatic accident can affect family dynamics. She experienced firsthand the value of physical therapy and how it can be used to restore the return to functional activities, hobbies, and work activities. This empowered her to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. She graduated from Arcadia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy degree. Tricia specializes in lymphedema, cancer care, clogged milk duct and vestibular niches. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and is certified in the Strength After Breast Cancer program (Strength ABC’s). She strives to treat each patient individually, compassionately, and with respect. As a working mother of 2 children, Trish strives to help her patients return to their prior level of functioning with work and recreational activities.

Jean Holland is a neurologic physical therapist at St. Luke’s Physical Therapy in Quakertown. She completed her undergraduate studies in health sciences at Gettysburg College. She then transitioned to the University of Delaware, where she completed her Master of Science (M.S.) degree in anatomy and clinical health science as well as her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. She would like to complete her certification in vestibular rehabilitation and eventually would like to assist in physical therapy and undergraduate health science education programs at local schools. In her spare time, she participates in karate and plays piano. She looks forward to helping you achieve your goals!

Jill received her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Lehigh Carbon Community College. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Science from Lock Haven University and an Associate’s in Health and Physical Education. Jill has completed continuing education coursework in the Graston technique, MFR and Kinesiotaping. Her interests outside of work include kayaking, gardening, and reading.

Certified Hand Therapist

Chris specializes in treatment of upper extremity conditions. He graduated from Temple with a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy degree and achieved distinction as a Certified Hand Therapist in 2001. His treatment style is manual based. He has taken continuing education in joint mobilization, myofascial release, Graston and kineseotape. He enjoys spending free time watching his kids play sports and vacationing with family and friends. He is also an avid skier.

Vanessa received her Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Therapy degree from Simmons College. She has extensive experience in vestibular rehabilitation, oncology, and concussion care. She is skilled in large amplitude exercise therapy for Parkinsonism, pacing for MS and high intensity gait training for stroke rehabilitation. Vanessa is particularly skilled in use of Myofascial release to address soft tissue restriction, resolving pain and headaches.  Vanessa enjoys working with patients to facilitate return to functional mobility, improving their overall quality of life.

Mabry graduated from the University of the Sciences with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science. She also received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of the Sciences. She was a resident through the St. Luke’s Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Mabry uses a variety of treatments, focusing on hands-on techniques and active exercises, to individualize everyone’s physical therapy experience to help them reach their goals and return to their activities. Mabry likes to be active through various forms of exercise, but primarily enjoys weightlifting using a powerlifting style, running, and skiing.

Nicholas received both his Bachelor of Health Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Lebanon Valley College, finishing his final clinic rotation at Penn State Hershey treating athletes on the Hershey Bears AHL ice hockey team His treatment approach utilizes skills acquired through education in the McKenzie approach to the Lumbar and Cervical Spine, Biomechanical Assessment of Athletic Performance, Maitland approach to Peripheral Joints, Evaluation and Treatment of Temporomandibular Disorders and Evaluation and Treatment of Vestibular Disorders from the American Institute of Balance. Nick is passionate about manual therapy and enjoys educating his patients to empower them to recover quickly and prevent future injuries. Nick is happily married to his wife, Sarah and enjoys weightlifting, golfing, and playing ice hockey in his spare time.

Lauren received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and went on to receive a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy degree from Kean University. Prior to moving to the Lehigh Valley in 2015 with her husband and three young children, Lauren worked in major trauma hospitals in Northern New Jersey for the last 9 years in acute care, sub-acute and outpatient settings. She has found a special interest in orthopedics and is working towards her certification in hand therapy.

After recovering from various sports and weightlifting injuries, Greg became passionate about challenging the human body in ways that allow it to heal while helping individuals return to their desired activities. Greg graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Activity. Greg then received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University. He believes in a team-based approach to physical therapy, with open communication between patient, therapist, and physician to achieve patient-centered goals. In college, Greg interned as a strength and conditioning coach at Carnegie Mellon University and worked as a personal trainer. Greg channels this experience to help motivate his patients to achieve their goals. Outside of work, he enjoys going to the gym and watching sports.

Lena has extensive experience in working with adults with dysphagia, speech, language, voice and cognitive disorders in a variety of settings including acute care, acute rehab, outpatient and home care. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology from Bloomsburg University and her Master’s of Science in Speech Language Pathology degree from Towson University. She is licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT® BIG), SPEAK OUT!® & LOUD Crowd, VitalStim® Therapy, McNeil Dysphagia Therapy & Myofascial Release for voice & dysphagia impairments. Lena is also a Lingraphica Certified Technology Specialist. Lena enjoys working with patients and their families in an individualized, patient-centered approach. She was born & raised in Bucks County and currently resides in North Wales with her husband & 2 sons.
