Direct Access

Get the relief and recovery you need now, without a physician's prescription!

To go to physical therapy, most states, including Pennsylvania and New Jersey, no longer require a prescription from your physician. This law, known as DIRECT ACCESS (DA) allows you to see a DA certified physical therapist immediately, so that you can get the outpatient physical therapy care you need right away. Most health insurance covers physical therapy obtained by using Direct Access, but if they do not, our staff will help you get what you need from your doctor to be covered under your insurance.

The sooner an injury is treated, the quicker the recovery. At Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s, each facility has at least one DA certified therapist. Our Direct Access certified therapists are professionally qualified to evaluate your condition, assess your physical therapy needs, and begin your treatment.

Easton - Forks Township

My experience with Physical Therapy at St. Luke's at the Forks facility was extremely positive. My therapist, Alyssa, positive and encouraging. With Alyssa's guidance she made it possible for me to regain my balance and to be able to be safe when I am walking, exercising and doing my everyday activities. I am thankful to her. Everyone at the Forks facility were very kind, pleasant and professional. I am truly grateful to Alyssa for her professional insight for my care. Thank you!

Washington, NJ

This is actual real physical therapy that helps you gain function and get yourself back and I am so glad I found Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s. The staff is beyond amazing. They are knowledgeable, experienced, thoughtful, caring, empathetic, genuine, real people! They make a difference! And the app is terrific and keeps me accountable and on track. Thank you!

Allentown - West End

My therapist was Giovanni Stracco at the West End facility in Allentown. I was being treated for low back pain that radiated down my right leg to my knee, which caused me to limp as I walked. I love to walk my dog, ride my bike and ski. My physical therapy experience with Giovanni was excellent. He was efficient, thorough, and patient as he helped me get better. I got to know him as a friend. He was very personable and interesting and real. I no longer walk with a limp and once again enjoy my daily dog walks in the woods. I am very thankful for this experience. Thank you, Giovanni.

Hellertown

I like the kind, compassionate atmosphere of this location. I have been top other therapy places that are not this fun, or the expertise was not at the level that is at the Hellertown office. I appreciate that Dorothy does hands-on therapy as well!

Lehighton

The staff was thorough and courteous. They made sure all information was correct and up to date. Gina McArdle was fantastic. She's listened to my concerns and answered my questions. Gina gave me a very good plan to battle my low-mid back pain. I have already seen results. Great staff!!! Thank you all.

Bethlehem - Moravian

I am so impressed with the PT I am receiving from Salvatore Pagano at St Lukes Sports and Ortho Moravian site. I have nicknamed him "Magic Hands" as he has me feeling better much sooner than expected. I am so glad I went with therapy versus getting a shot of steroids. I will be recommending him to all my friends and family, and being older that could be a lot of business for this facility.
