Maria received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Iowa and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Delaware. Maria played field hockey for the University of Iowa. Over the course of her career, she has developed a special interest in treating orthopedic and sports injuries. She believes in empowering her patients and providing individualized treatment programs in order to assist her patients in rehabilitating to their previous level of function. She enjoys working as part of a healthcare team and creating a fun atmosphere for her patients and co-workers. Maria and her husband, Nick, stay active throughout the year running, biking and playing sports with their three children.

Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapy Assistant

Tara received her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant degree at Lehigh Carbon Community College in 2004. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Biology at Grand Canyon University in 2011. She has gained her experience working in the outpatient orthopedic setting since the beginning of her career as a physical therapist assistant. She enjoys teaching students and became an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor in 2015. In 2018, she received a Specialty Certification in Orthopedics and has developed an Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant Certification Program for St. Luke’s University Hospital Network. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors such as skiing, biking, hiking, running and spending time with her two children.

Nikol has worked in Northampton for many years and feels a connection to this community. She is on the board of Quota USA of Northampton, a local community service club, and is also very active in her Church.  Nikol enjoys working with people of all ages. She believes in personalized physical therapy and enjoys educating her patients and the community. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, her Master’s degree from Hahnemann University and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University. She is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) and certified by the McKenzie Institute in mechanical diagnosis and therapy of the spine. Requirements for both certifications include attending numerous courses and documenting hours of experience and passing a comprehensive exam. She is currently teaching a course in Moravian’s physical therapy program and enjoys both teaching and learning from her students.

Jenna was a collegiate athlete where she has experienced her share of injuries and physical therapy to return to the softball field to perform at an All-American level. She attended Penn State University-Berks Campus where she graduated in 2017 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Alvernia University in 2020. She currently coaches a local tournament softball team where she can combine her passion for treating athletes and giving back to the younger generation. Jenna has a passion working specifically with athletes that experienced an overhead injury and individuals experiencing post-concussion. Jenna believes in an individualized, hands-on approach focusing on evidence-based practice for treatment to meet each person’s needs. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, being outdoors with friends and family and traveling with her husband.

Sarah spent the first 10 years of her career in the fitness and wellness industry working with clients of various populations and ability levels. She finds her experience as an Exercise Specialist helpful as a current clinician and that it also aids in her ability to relate to patients with various injuries and diagnoses. Sarah graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology. She then attended Lehigh Carbon Community College and graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant degree. Sarah believes in treating he patient as a whole and enjoys a hands-on approach with patients. As a former high school and collegiate athlete, Sarah continues to enjoy anything competitive, and fitness related activities. She also enjoys being a mom and raising her family.

Jennifer graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing. After working in business for six years, she realized her passion was in physical therapy when she became a patient herself. Jennifer then obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant degree at Lehigh Carbon Community College in 2013 where she received the Gilbert A. Scheetz Scholastic Achievement Award, which is presented to the PTA student with the highest overall achievement in professional studies and academic coursework. Jennifer has a background working with the orthopedic and neurological patient population in an outpatient setting and she believes in an individualized, hands-on approach for each patient. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her three children and spending time outdoors.

Meghan enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, golfing, or just going on adventures with her dog Lucy. Therefore, she understands the desire to stay active and participate in activities that you love. She graduated from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania with both her Bachelors and Master’s in Exercise Science degree and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from DeSales University. She was a resident through the St. Luke’s Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Meghan believes in incorporating evidence-based practice, teamwork, and individualized goal-oriented treatment programs to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.
