Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Harry gets great satisfaction living and working in the New Tripoli community. He enjoys helping his neighbors improve their quality of life and level of function through physical therapy. Having that local connection helps achieve the clinician/patient bond that is essential to achieve positive outcomes and help patients achieve their physical therapy goals. Harry earned his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Pittsburgh where he studied Athletic Training. Harry worked for 4 years as the Certified Athletic Trainer for Northampton School District. He earned his Master’s of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University, where he earned the Entry Level Graduate Academic Excellence Award. He has earned the Orthopedic Clinical Specialist credential. Harry’s treatment philosophy involves using manual therapy initially to improve joint mobility, decrease pain, improve range of motion in the affected body part. The patient takes an active role by performing home exercises to eventually manage their condition independently. Harry believes in a team approach, with the physical therapy clinicians and the patient forming a partnership to enable the patient to achieve their goals. Patients take an active role with ownership of the treatment plan. Harry also serves in the Army Reserves as a physical therapist, in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was Officer in Charge of a busy physical therapy section in a Combat Support Hospital. He was awarded the Army Medical Specialist Corps Award of Excellence for his work in Iraq. He recently completed a successful unit command and is currently a Team Leader for a training unit.
