Mary has clinical experience treating in a school, inpatient, and outpatient rehabilitation settings. She graduated with her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology degree from East Stroudsburg University (ESU). She has a passion for enjoys working with adults who present with a variety of disorder types, including those with stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), Parkinson’s disease, and many other diagnoses. She works closely alongside patients, caregivers, and families, to develop an individualized treatment plan that incorporates the patients’ goals to maximize their level of independence and improve their overall quality of life. Mary has a deep personal connection with the field of speech pathology, as she has an older brother living with TBI, an aunt who lived with severe aphasia due to a stroke, and a nephew who was born with Down syndrome. She profoundly recognizes and understands the experience of family members who support those with speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments, and is dedicated to caregiver education and family involvement as an integral part to improved patient outcomes. Mary was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and currently resides in the Poconos with her six-year-old daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter hiking, dancing, singing, and promoting an overall positive experience with everyone she meets.
