As a former patient herself who has struggled with widespread chronic pain, Amanda understands how impactful and debilitating pain can be on one’s life. How it changes the way one navigates their world. She took her personal experience with pain and made it her mission to empower her patients to overcome their functional limitations and pain by utilizing evidence-based and person-centered care. Amanda graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an Exercise Science concentration. She attended DeSales University where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She further became a Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) and received her certification through Evidence in Motion. As a clinician, she enjoys creating a motivating and fun experience for all her patients. On her free time, she enjoys working out, trying new restaurants in the Lehigh Valley, and spending time with her family.

Certified Pelvic Health/Obstetric Physical Therapist

As an athlete and mother of two, Lauren Garges knows first-hand the unique changes that a woman’s body goes through during both pregnancy and postpartum healing and especially enjoys working with this population to help them achieve their personal goals. She graduated from Bloomsburg University with a bachelor’s degree with Honors in Biology, received her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Arcadia University. She is the Director of St. Luke’s Pelvic Rehab Program and a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy. She holds additional certifications in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction as well as Pregnancy and Postpartum considerations through the American Physical Therapy Association. She frequently presents on the topic of pelvic dysfunction for professional and community organizations and teaches about postpartum recovery at St. Luke’s School of Nursing. Lauren has also contributed to articles on pelvic pain and incontinence for both Runner’s World magazine and Health.com. Recognizing that pelvic floor therapy can be intimidating to some, Lauren strives to create a safe space for each patient to discuss their concerns and feels privileged to be part of every patient’s recovery team.

Certified Lymphedema Therapist

As a mother and recreational athlete, Melinda appreciates the effect of pregnancy and postpartum on a person’s body and enjoys helping women maintain active and healthy pregnancies and recover physically in the postpartum years. Melinda has extensive education and training to support her specialized practice in pelvic rehabilitation, lymphedema therapy, and cancer rehabilitation. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Thomas Jefferson University. She is a graduate of Good Shepherd Penn Partners’ Women’s Health Physical Therapy Residency and is a dual Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Oncologic Physical Therapy. Melinda is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist with training through the Norton School of Lymphology and additional certification through the Lymphology Association of North America. She strives to bridge her expertise in oncology, lymphedema, and pelvic rehabilitation to educate and empower men and women in the recovery from cancer and cancer treatments. Outside of work, Melinda enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and promoting an environmentally sustainable lifestyle.

Certified Obstetric Physical Therapist

Helen graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s in Science degree in Kinesiology. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions and completed her internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is a graduate of Good Shepherd Penn Partners’ Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency and is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist. Helen enjoys using her orthopedic knowledge to help all individuals become independent with improving their quality of life through active treatments. Specifically, Helen has additional training in treating patients with limb loss, evaluating for custom orthotics, and treating pregnant and postpartum women with orthopedic issues. Helen has earned the Certificate of Achievement in Obstetric from the American Physical Therapy Association Pelvic Health. Outside of the clinic, Helen has assisted in teaching health sciences and physical therapy at the undergraduate and graduate level at local universities. Outside of work, Helen enjoys training to run marathons and playing with her dog and cat.

Jill graduated from Lehigh Carbon Community College with an Associate degree in Health Science and an Associate degree in the Physical Therapy Assistant program. After an early career in healthcare media production, Jill shifted to physical therapy to make a direct impact on patient’s lives. Her passion for helping others, love of exercise science, and fascination with the body’s ability to heal through movement inspired her return to school. Following her clinical education, she gained experience working at St. Luke’s in various orthopedic outpatient clinics, where she developed a strong interest in pelvic health. As a runner and a busy mom of two, she recognized a gap in care for both men and women experiencing pelvic dysfunction and felt compelled to support this underserved population. She completed specialized training through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute and continues to pursue ongoing education in pelvic health, remaining current with emerging new research and evidence-based practice. Jill is dedicated to working within a collaborative team to provide innovative, customized and goal-driven care. She recognizes that each patient’s situation is unique and that their care should reflect this by considering the patient’s individual needs, personality and lifestyle. Outside of work, Jill enjoys photography, swimming, running, spending time with loved ones and returning to her home state of New Hampshire to enjoy New England’s natural beauty.

Certified Pelvic Health Practitioner

Caroline has worked in the Lehigh Valley for 15 years after moving to the US from Montreal in 2000. (Ask to hear her French)! She pursued physical therapy after working with patients in a variety of settings and throughout the lifespan. She recently became a Certified Pelvic Health Practitioner! She originally focused on orthopedic disorders and her interest in pelvic floor dysfunction was piqued after becoming a mother herself and realizing the importance of proper healing and recovery. She has extensive training from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute and continues to take advanced courses to keep up with the latest research and techniques. She is passionate about finding creative ways to allow patients to reach their goals through exercises, education, manual techniques and humor. Caroline loves traveling, running, kickboxing and spending time with family and friends both here in the US and in Canada.
