Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy

As a believer in lifelong learning, Tim promotes the importance of continuing education and board certification to our skilled therapists so they can achieve the best possible treatment outcomes for their patients. He graduated from the University of Hartford with his Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy degree and later attended Temple University for his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Tim became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy in 2011 and a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 2015, becoming the first in the Lehigh Valley to achieve this dual certification. He graduated from Lehigh University’s prestigious Master of Business Administration program.

Tim joined Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s in January of 2005. He began his career as a staff physical therapist, was promoted to a Facility Director later in 2005, became a Regional Director in 2007, and was promoted to the Executive Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation in 2022. He has mentored facility directors and staff physical therapists, assisted in developing policies, procedures, and best practices, and improved physician-physical therapist relationships through collaborative protocol development and in-services. Tim has also participated in the vast expansion of the network by participating in all facets of opening a new clinic from floor plan design, equipment procurement, and compliance inspection to assisting in hiring and training staff, marketing to physicians and the community, and treating patients. He has served on various interdisciplinary St. Luke’s University Health Network committees including the Orthopedic, Bone and Joint, and Sports Medicine steering committees.

Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his family and coaching youth baseball and basketball.

JR graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and received his Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy degree. He specializes in the treatment of athletes and active individuals of all ages. JR utilizes a variety of methods to help individuals exceed their previous level with an emphasis on manual therapy and functional movement. JR also coaches several youth sports teams focusing on injury prevention and fun!

Seth joined St. Luke’s from a large private practice physical therapy company. He is a Physical Therapist, Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist and an Athletic Trainer. Seth has experience with new clinic openings, acquisition/integrations, sports medicine contracts and physician marketing. Upon joining St. Luke’s, Seth led the integration with the St. Luke’s Warren Campus clinics. Seth believes in bringing an upbeat, enjoyable atmosphere to the clinic, he wants patients to feel that coming to therapy is the best part of their day.

Howie is a graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Rehabilitation Science. He received a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. Howie is also a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Over the course of his career, he has developed a special interest in treating orthopedic and sports injuries with a particular interest in the treatment of the shoulder and overhead athletes. Howie takes pride in returning patients back to their pre-injury level of function and enjoys working within a healthcare team. He believes in making rehab a fun place to be for both his patients and co-workers.

Certified Lymphedema Therapist

Susan has a passion for treating cancer survivors over the years and progressed her education by becoming a certified lymphedema specialist in 2015. These patients strive to live their lives fully and energizes Susan to be able to treat them fully whether if it is to increase range of motion and strength or to prevent or control their lymphedema. Susan graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Administration from the University of Scranton. Susan currently splits her time between patient care at our Emmaus office and an administrative role for compliance and coverage of our offices. When not at work, she enjoys traveling with her husband Rob, and especially scuba diving in different places along with going on fishing trips.

Chris has immense experience and a passion for treating a variety of orthopedic and sports medicine patients of all ages. Chris believes in individualizing each person’s treatment to meet their specific needs. As an athlete himself, Chris understands the unique challenges that each sport can bring to the rehabilitation process. Due to this, he utilizes several methods of treatment that emphasize a hands-on approach focusing on evidence-based practice. Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science degree from Lock Haven University. Additionally, he earned his Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy degree from Misericordia University, his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University, and his Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Central Arkansas. Chris is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy.

Additionally, Chris has served as the facility director of both the Bath and Forks facilities. In 2021 he was promoted to Area Manager and assisted in overseeing the Bethlehem region. In 2024 he was promoted to Associate Regional Director. In his role, Chris works with the facility directors and staff to ensure successful operations of all the offices within the Bethlehem campus. Additionally, he collaborates cross-functionally with other departments and employees to provide input on organizational initiatives, strategies, and events. Chris strives to promote an environment where therapists seek to improve themselves via continuing education, which ultimately results in a superior patient experience and outcome.

As a father and former competitive athlete, Greg understands the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle to enjoy hobbies and passions.  Greg as a particular interest in the overhead athlete and dysfunctions of the lower extremity. He received both his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Marketing and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Misericordia University. After graduation, Greg completed his residency training in Orthopedic Physical Therapy at St. Luke’s University Health Network. Greg has published research on shoulder treatment and is an adjunct instructor for the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network. Greg is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and believes in an individualized hands-on approach with an emphasis on education and prevention. Outside of work, Greg enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.

Melissa serves as the Facility Director at Center Valley and has also taken on the role of Area Manager to help support the Southern Region (Center Valley, Ottsville, and Pennsburg). Melissa enjoys working with a variety of orthopedic populations and is most passionate about helping athletes of all ages return to sport. She graduated with her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from Penn State. Then went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and Master’s in Business Administration degree from Widener University. Melissa is a member of the Comprehensive Spine Program and The Running Center at St. Luke’s. She believes in a combination of hands-on and active treatment strategies fit to individuals goals and needs. In her free time Melissa enjoys hiking and traveling with her family.

Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy

As Area Manager, Rett supports the Anderson, Wind Gap and New Jersey clinics. He also serves as Facility Director at the Anderson Campus. Rett values helping patients restore their function though empowering them to understand and take control of their own rehabilitation. He graduated from Misericordia University as the co-valedictorian of his class with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy degree. He later returned to Misericordia to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Rett is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and is also certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the Spine from the McKenzie Institute. He specializes in the treatment of orthopedic and spine injuries. Rett uses an active approach combined with hands-on techniques to help his patients reduce pain and return to their desired level of function. He also places an emphasis on patient education in self-care and prevention. Rett maintains and active lifestyle including running.

Kevin is passionate about research to ensure his patients are receiving quality care that results in improved outcomes and recovery timeframes. He specializes in the treatment of patients with sport and spines injuries. Kevin earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Radford University. He has advanced training in spinal mobilization, movement analysis, instrument assisted manual therapy and the Titleist Performance Institute. He has also conducted research regarding injury prevention in baseball players. Throughout his career he has worked with professional and collegiate baseball players, strength athletes, golfers, dancers and the general orthopedic population. He utilizes a research supported approach, implementing hands-on and active interventions to reduce pain, promote wellness, and improve performance amongst his patients. Kevin enjoys spending time in the outdoors, golfing, and exercising with his wife and two sons.

As Area Manager, Lucas is responsible for supporting some of our Schuylkill County sites, including the Orwigsburg, Mahanoy City, Hazelton, West Penn, and Pottsville offices, and ensuring high quality of care and service to our patients. He also continues his Facility Director role at our Pottsville location. Lucas received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from Penn State University before attending University of the Sciences in Philadelphia where he graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. He is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. His professional expertise consists of orthopedic and vestibular therapy with certifications in advanced post-concussion management and acute spine care. His treatment focuses strongly on individualized and hands on interventions with an emphasis on patient education and goals. Lucas enjoys the outdoors, archery, athletics, and spending time with family and friends.
