Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy

As a mother of two, Lindsey is passionate about utilizing play as a therapeutic approach to help children reach their highest potential. Lindsey received her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Misericordia University. She has clinical experience in outpatient, early intervention and school-based settings. Lindsey is a Certified Therapeutic Listening Therapist, a Certified Autism Specialist, is Board-Certified in Pediatric Physical Therapy, and serves as the facility director for the Nesquehoning Pediatric clinic. Lindsey is also a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Lindsey has experience with a variety of diagnoses such as Autism, Down Syndrome, ADD/ADHD, developmental delays and Sensory Processing Disorders. She believes in using a team approach and evidenced based interventions to help her clients reach their maximum potential.  Lindsey has completed and presented research at National and International Occupational Therapy conferences.

Anastasia has a passion for serving the pediatric population and working with children with a variety of diagnoses including torticollis, developmental delay, toe walking, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and Down syndrome. She graduated from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Emory & Henry College School of Health Sciences and was awarded membership into the Alpha Eta National Honor Society of the Allied Health Professions. Anastasia’s treatment philosophy is to help her patients reach their optimal level of function through fun and engaging activities while also educating their families on continuation of care within their daily routine. Anastasia has appreciated opportunities she has had through pediatric physical therapy, such as creating powered mobility for a young child with mobility impairments through the Go Baby Go program. Anastasia strives to create a fun and inviting space for children to improve their movement while also collaborating with her colleagues, taking a multidisciplinary approach to each child’s care.

Dara has a passion for working with the pediatric population. She received her Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology degree from East Stroudsburg University. Dara has clinical experience in outpatient and school-based settings. She maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech and Hearing Association. Dara has treated a wide variety of diagnoses including but not limited to Speech and Language Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Articulation Disorder, Phonological Processing Disorder, and Fluency Disorder. She believes in providing a holistic, team-based approach that is individualized to each child’s needs as well as provide caregiver education to assist with carryover of skills across settings. During her free time, Dara enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and cooking!

Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy

Amber, a pediatric physical therapist and mom of two, acknowledges the unique challenges children and caregivers experience in building a support system. As a member of a multidisciplinary team Amber has gratitude for the opportunity to help support children and their families in her home community. Amber graduated from Widener University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2008 and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Widener University in 2010. She is a Board-Certified Pediatric Specialist and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Amber specializes in the treatment of children from infancy through adolescence and specializes in treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction and bowel/bladder incontinence in the pediatric population. She has completed Pelvic Floor Levels 1-3 and Pediatric Pelvic Floor with the APTA as well as Pediatric Bowel and Bladder training through Herman and Wallace. Amber strives to utilize a patient and family centered approach, focusing on meeting a family where they are and working towards a child’s ultimate health goals. Amber recognizes the sensitive nature of pediatric pelvic health and emphasizes the importance of normalizing bowel and bladder habits and challenges, providing age-appropriate education and working with the child’s care team to fully support each child’s needs. In her free time Amber enjoys spending time outdoors and hanging out with her kids.

Abby has a passion for helping children meet their full potential in order to engage in their most meaningful activities. She received her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy degree from Alvernia University. She has clinical experience in early intervention and outpatient settings. Abby is Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding Approach Certified (SOS Approach) which she uses when treating children with feeding difficulties. She believes in using a client-centered and holistic approach when working with children and their families to improve quality of life and overall independence. Abby aims to provide individualized treatment through the use of meaningful, engaging and evidence-based interventions.

Emily knew early on that helping children, learning and growing through music and play, and empowering families were must haves in her career choice. Therefore, it was an easy decision to purse pediatric Speech-Language Pathology. She received her Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology degree from Bloomsburg University. Emily completed her clinical fellowship at Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29. While there, she treated children ages 3-5 in their homes and preschool centers.  In addition, she continues to work with children birth-three in homes for Early Intervention services. Emily has treated a wide variety of diagnoses including, but not limited to, Speech and Language Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Articulation Disorder, Apraxia, and Phonological Processing Disorder. She believes in a patient focused and individualized approach. Moreover, she incorporates Coaching for parents throughout sessions to support continued language development in the home. Treating families in her community and neighboring towns drives Emily to ensure her patients are receiving the best care at the Nesquehoning facility.

Katie is a Physical Therapy Assistant who has worked for St. Luke’s since 2014. She has a background in and passion for dance and gymnastics, which she shares with her daughter. She consistently utilizes this experience with her pediatric population, however, incorporates this with the adult and geriatric populations as well. Katie graduated from Pennsylvania State University with an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant degree. She then continued her studies with Pennsylvania State University to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in Psychology. She is Certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) which is a program that helps dancers to improve overall technique through muscle memory training. She enjoys helping patient’s meet their maximum potential through the joy of movement.
